The long awaited DVDs of the Sydney World Shakuhachi Festival 2008 are now on sale. Order The Complete Set of Eight WSF08 DVDs and save.

These timeless DVDs present the highlights of WSF08. Lindsay Dugan has done a brilliant job filming, editing and producing these DVDs. Though not quite as good as having been there, they certainly are a must for anyone who missed the Festival, and an excellent way for the lucky ones who did attend to relive some of the innumerable memories of the Festival. The DVDs present some of the best shakuhachi performers in the world in concert, playing a variety of shakuhachi music styles and genres.

All eight DVDs of the Sydney World Shakuhachi Festival 2008 are dedicated to the memory and the art of Katsuya Yokoyama (1934-2010).

The YouTube clips are decent res video (656x368) and very good quality (AAC) audio files, but the DVDs are much better quality.

Please note that these DVDs are best played on a DVD player / TV set up. The DVDS are NTSC 4:3 formatted. They will play on most PAL players and all computers. Though they can be viewed on your computer, the quality is much better using a DVD player.

Ordering The Complete Set of Eight WSF08 DVDs is your best buy. But you may also order any of the WSF08 DVDs individually.

DVDs ordered individually are A$30.00 plus shipping. Costs for shipping are on a sliding scale: A$7 for 1 DVD, A$8 for 2, A$13 for 3, A$15 for 4 and A$17 for 5 or more. This standard shipping charge will automatically be added to your order by PayPal and will show up in your "shopping cart".

An overseas shipping surcharge of A$4 applies to each WSF08 DVD shipped overseas. In other words, for overseas orders, a single WSF08 DVD costs A$30 plus A$4 overseas shipping surcharge, plus the standard A$7 shipping.
